Competent Inspectorate has been accredited by NABCB to conduct Green Audits of Infrastructure of Educational Institutions as per NBC Part 11, NAAC advisory and NABCB Guidelines.

IMPORTANCE of Green Audit for NAAC accreditation.

In India, higher learning institutes, particularly state universities, are required to obtain NAAC accreditation to be eligible for grants and financial aid. NAAC accreditation also serves as a mark of quality in terms of education, infrastructure, research, and teaching. Similarly, engineering colleges and universities seeking accreditation must undergo a Green Audit, which is assigned to Criteria 7 of NAAC.

 

The NAAC, on 26.05.22 has released an advisory on ISO 9001/ GREEN CERTIFICATES/AUDITS. As per point 5 of the advisory institutions can go for One-time Green Audit from NABCB accredited agency.

 

As per NABCB Green Audits to be conducted by Type A Inspection Bodies having accreditation for Green Audit by NABCB, as per the National Building Code, 2016, Part-11 with clauses, as applicable therein.

How CIC does Green
Audit
in Colleges?

1. Universities / Educational Institutions send RFQ with details of institute to 
 understanding Scope of work and submission of quote.

2. On receipt of WO/PO as per the Scope CIC will form Audit team with at least 2 or 3 Auditors.

3. Audit team will use the Audit Checklists approved by CIC and if any item/ clause is not applicable, it will mention as NA giving reason for not applicability.

4. CIC will share Audit Checklist and organize Awareness Session on Checklist.

5. Institute will prepare themselves as per checklist in next 15 to 30 days and request for audit.

6. CIC Audits for Issue of Green Audit Report & Certification.
